About Me.

Matt McKeon M.S. CCC-SLP
Founder

I have been providing comprehensive speech therapy to individuals with voice, speech, and swallowing disorders for 18 years.

I Graduated with a Masters in Health Science in Speech Language Pathology in 2004 from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. I Moved to Northern VA in 2007 and currently reside in West Springfield with my wife and 2 daughters. My interest in voice was present from graduate year of Duquesne University where my clinical instructors encouraged me to pursue voice.   I quickly gained diversified experience as a research assistant studying the aging voice for the VA, clinician for an Otolaryngology office, and clinician for a voice clinic.  From here, I acquired a position that lasted for a decade where I could pursue many clinical conditions beyond voice while working within a Continuing Care Retirement Community. I played a leading role in growing 1 FT SLP position to 3 FT SLP positions within a thriving outpatient rehabilitation department focused on providing comprehensive care to the Parkinson community while also meeting the many needs within the CCRC itself. In the Fall of 2019, I made and shared an educational video on YouTube highlighting my treatment technique for Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD).  I call it "McKeon Method."  Since it's original post, I've received scores of feedback globally.   In 2020, COVID hit and I was forced to pursue my own path as a medicare and tele-health provider. I now provide speech therapy to VA, MD, and AZ.

Thanks for taking an interest in me and my journey!   I look forward to working with you!
